Founded in 2008, Kura Revolving Sushi Bar is an innovative Japanese restaurant chain based on the concept of conveyor belt sushi.
Kura Revolving Sushi has nearly 50 locations in the United States, including restaurants in Florida, Illinois, New Jersey, California and Washington, DC.
The Kura experience almost works like a game and is a fun experience for any palate. Guests sit around the conveyor belt and pick up the sushi plates that catch their eye.
The color of the plate corresponds to the price of the dish, allowing guests to keep track of their bill as they savor the assortment of sushi passing by.
Guests can also place orders using a touchscreen tablet at their table, ensuring that they get their favorite dishes even if they don’t see them on the revolving conveyor belt. These items will be sent to your table via the conveyor belt.
Kura’s menu is extensive – choose from a variety of rolled sushi, sashimi, nigiri, hand rolls and more.
You can also order sides, soups, rice boxes, ramen, and udon.
Don’t forget to save room for dessert; Kura offers many different flavors of mochi ice cream; taiyaki and so more.
Every time you finish an item, you can put the plate into the plate drop by the table. The plate drop tracks how many plates you’ve gone through, and the more plates you finish, the more points you earn to be redeemed for a prize.
This restaurant only uses the freshest ingredients, never adding artificial sweeteners, preservatives, colorings, and seasonings – meaning that their sushi is of the highest quality.
We had a great time at their Sacramento location and thought the quality of the food was reasonable for the price. There was a good variety of items circulating on the conveyor belt and the ordered items by tablet came to us in an efficient manner.
